Vehicle Tips
According to recent studies, 5 percent of all motor vehicle fatalities are clearly caused by automobile maintenance neglect. The cooling system should be completely flushed and refilled about every 24 months. The level, condition, and concentration of coolant should be checked. (A 50/50 mix of anti-freeze and water is usually recommended.)Never remove the radiator cap until the engine has thoroughly cooled. The tightness and condition of drive belts, clamps and hoses should be checked by a pro.Change your oil and oil filter as specified in your manual, or more often (every 3,000 miles) if you make frequent short jaunts, extended trips with lots of luggage or tow a trailer.Replace other filters (air, fuel, PCV, etc.) as recommended, or more often in dusty conditions. Get engine drivability problems (hard stops, rough idling, stalling, diminished power, etc.) corrected at a good shop.A dirty windshield causes eye fatigue and can pose a safety hazard. Replace worn blades and get plenty of windshield washer solvent.Have your tires rotated about every 5,000 miles. Check tire pressures once a month; let the tires cool down first. Don't forget your spare and be sure your jack is in good condition.Check your owner's manual to find out what fuel octane rating your car's engine needs then buy it.Keep your tires inflated to the proper levels. Under-inflated tires make it harder for your car to move down the road, which means your engine uses more fuel to maintain speed.Lighten the load. Heavier vehicles use more fuel, so clean out unnecessary weight in the passenger compartment or trunk before you hit the road.Use the A/C sparingly. The air conditioner puts extra load on the engine forcing more fuel to be used.Keep your windows closed. Wide-open windows, especially at highway speeds, increase aerodynamic drag and the result is up to a 10% decrease in fuel economy.Avoid long idling. If you anticipate being stopped for more than one minute, shut off the car. Contrary to popular belief, restarting the car uses less fuel than letting it idle.Stay within posted speed limits. The faster you drive, the more fuel you use. For example, driving at 65 miles per hour (mph) rather than 55 mph, increases fuel consumption by 20 percent.Use cruise control. Using cruise control on highway trips can help you maintain a constant speed and, in most cases, reduce your fuel consumption.Keep your engine tuned. A fouled spark plug or plugged/restricted fuel injector can reduce fuel efficiency as much as 30 percent.Inspect the engine's belts regularly. Look for cracks or missing sections or segments. Worn belts will affect the engine performance.Have the fuel filter changed every 10,000 miles to prevent rust, dirt and other impurities from entering the fuel system.Change the transmission fluid and filter every 15,000 to 18,000 miles. This will protect the precision-crafted components of the transmission/transaxle.Inspect the suspension system regularly. This will extend the life of the vehicle's tires.
What People Say About Us
They are the best when no body else could, they did!
Meloman Mendoza, 10/14/2019
Wonderful customer service, top notch assessments, and quick turnaround times. These guys are simply amazing hardworking mechanics. They truly live up to their name and make you feel like your vehicle is their priority, despite being a busy shop. I can't say enough good things about them. If you want honest and true craftsmanship, this is the place to go. Thank you Jeff and all of the staff at Priority Auto!
A great place to take your car if you need it repaired. Jeff is really good and is a great person. The prices aren't bad either.

I trust Jeff and his crew to maintain my car with honesty and integrity. They insist on providing quality service even if it means they have to keep my car a little longer and they won't do anything without my consent. I won't take my car anywhere else.
Dropped in with a suspension problem on my Chry 300. Jeff took my car on a test drive, identified the problem quickly, and replaced 2 lower control arms with alignment at a reasonable cost and in just a few hours. Excellent waiting room, clean restrooms, and friendly staff that treat you like family. I highly recommend this shop.
They totally saved me! I thought I was going to have to buy a new vehicle, but Jeff fixed our van! There was some pretty major things wrong with it and he worked hard on it, got it fixed a few days earlier than promised and for less money than was estimated. I complete trust Jeff and everyone there with any problem I have with any vehicle.
Jeff, just want to thank Jeremy, Paul, and yourself for the AWESOME Job that you's all done With my now BEAUTIFUL truck. Jeff you have a great team of mechanic's working for you. I'll be back!
After getting an overpriced quote at TCR, I tried Priority. It was a third the price of the quote and I was given a teacher discount. Jeff and the staff were very personable and efficient. Thank you!
We have taken two vehicles here now before a big trip to California and both times they worked out amazing deals and got the work done super fast. The free shuttle is a life saver for getting home and back and they even dropped off my vehicle to me at work so they could balance and align the new tires. The waiting room is immaculate, the bathroom spotless, and they even let you look at the cars supervised so you can see the interworkings of your vehicle. We are newly converted customers for life! Thank you Priority Auto and Tire Team!!!!
Shout out to Paul for being such a great phone guy/price finder and to Jeff for running such a professional establishment!
These guys went totally above and beyond!! I had a awesome experience for a break down Thank You for getting my truck back working literally!
I took a car in for a pre inspection before I bought it they were very nice very helpful and explained everything good experience
Awesome and excellent customer service! They call you by first names!
I'm a fairly new customer but will be a very LONG time customer. I have taken my 2012 Mistubishi for service as simple as an oil change and one as complicated as bushings and control arm. Jeff and the other mechanics were not only informative but honest. Not only were they thorough yet reasonably quick, one job came in $10 cheaper than on the estimate. That might not seem like a lot of money to you but it's a weeks worth of gas to me. Now I can safely take my car to see my daughters and my grand kids! Thanks Priority!! You all are amazing!
